My name is Ray Miller and I own and operate RiversSage Outfitters. We specialize in small personalized Fly Fishing & Wingshooting adventures to destinations worldwide. I have been in the fly fishing and wingshooting business for over 20 twenty years as a guide, Host of fly fishing and wingshooting tours, cameraman for a fly fishing television show, instructor and assistant to the director of the national Fly Fishing Show. During the past twenty years I have had the opportunity to travel to exotic locations such as Chile, Argentina, Alaska, Northern Quebec and have made many contacts throughout the industries. This experience allows me the resources to design the perfect trip for you and your group. Every destination we offer has been visited and inspected for service, lodging, meals, professionalism of the guide staff and overall customer service.
Over the next several months we will be traveling to Florida to check out an outfitter that specializes in spinner shark fishing and other saltwater species that inhabit the waters of southern Florida. We will also be traveling to Chile to explore a new lodge offering spectacular rainbow trout fishing and as a bonus some saltwater fishing near the town of Puerto Montt. I will be writing about each adventure on this blog also. As for wingshooting destinations, we now offer two, one to Alaska, which is a Cast & Blast, imagine fly fishing for huge Rainbow trout (30″ Class) and monster salmon and then spend the afternoon hunting for the abundant Ptarmigan. That is what is waiting for you on our Alaska Cast & Blast Excursion. I will also be offering an Upper Delaware Cast & Blast Adventure during the month of October. This will be a 2 or 3 day adventure which highlights the spectacular fishing on the Upper Delaware River in New York and the awesome Ruffed Grouse hunting of the area. I am also working on arranging a trip on the “Atmosphere”, the 150 yacht that is owned by Nomads of the Seas. I Had the unique opportunity to spend some time on this magnificent ship as we traveled along the Chilean coast in search of large trout. The past year was an exciting time for me as I was able to film an instructional DVD with Ben O. Williams entitled Western Wings: Hunting Huns, which will be available mid-February 2010. We will be producing a series of instructional DVD over the next year covering all aspects of Western bird hunting and dog training. Also, we are currently planning several fly fishing Instructional videos to include Fishing the Upper Delaware, A guides Flies, Nymphing Techniques, Fly Casting and a host of other titles. Check back with us throughout the year at our website www.riversageproductions.com Early February we hosted our annual Argentina trip, despite the hot weather everyone had a great time. This years group was a lot of fun! Everyone caught fish and enjoyed the Argentine experience. We also headed to South Andros in October to arrange a new Saltwater Destination and we were successful, we found a great new place to stay and excellent guides to take us fishing for a very reasonable price.
